After an intense three months of development, our team has nearly completed kogitobooks.com. Designed as a responsive website, it works seamlessly across both mobile and web environments. Our vision has been clear: to make books and their contents fully searchable and accessible on the web. At kogitobooks, books are categorized by chapters, allowing for dynamic and user-driven organization. Think of it like Spotify for books—you can rearrange chapters as you like or create personalized reading lists by combining chapters from multiple books.

Books will be accessible directly on the web. Unlike platforms like Kindle or Ridibooks, which deliver e-books in EPUB format and require loading the entire book before you can begin reading, kogitobooks offers a significantly faster experience. Much like browsing an online news article, books will load instantly within the web interface. The arrangement of chapters and images is optimized for readability, thanks to Roseeta, the proprietary text-restructuring software developed by Dongin Jung, Doowoo Kang, and Jaehyun Park.
Roseeta plays a critical role by unlocking the JavaScript-based security of existing EPUB formats and analyzing their internal HTML tags. It identifies and categorizes book elements such as chapters, subchapters, images, tables, and footnotes, and then crawls and restructures them within our platform.
The software has demonstrated remarkable accuracy so far. Transferring an entire book into our system, including minor human adjustments, takes approximately two hours. Currently, Jaehyun Park, our Chief Information Officer (CIO), is leading the overall development of this innovative software.
Please check out the demo video of the kogitobooks service. This 1-minute and 30-second video will be submitted for the upcoming KUBS Startup Station Summer Season.
